I work most often with married couples to help them resolve the issues in their divorce, without fighting in court.

However, more and more, I am helping clients that are single and engaged to be married.  We are working together to protect their assets and their estate before they get married.

Many times, my client is planning for his or her second marriage and they have already built a nest egg for themselves and for their family.

The most common goals that we have are:

  1. Make a plan for your estate to pass to your adult children and/or grandchildren.
  2. Make a plan to protect your assets and your income, in the event of a divorce.
  3. Make a plan to avoid a lengthy and messy divorce.

The tool that we use to accomplish these goals is a prenuptial agreement.

One key to our success is to treat everyone involved with respect and transparency.

We work from the start of the process to identify:

  1. Your interests and goals.
  2. Your financial plan for the future.
  3. The family members that you will name as your beneficiaries.

Finally, we use a collaborative and interest-based approach to work with you and your fiancée and their attorney.

The end result is a legally binding financial plan for your marriage, and for your estate once you pass away.  This is all done for a fixed fee and without losing the trust of your fiancée along the way.

If you, or a friend of yours, has questions about a collaborative prenuptial agreement in Palm Beach County, we are here to help.
