If divorce becomes a serious consideration for you and your family, you don’t want it to become a drawn out, public and financially irresponsible event.
You are worried that once lawyers get involved, everything will get worse. You know friends that have suffered through divorce attorneys arguing for the sake of arguing, letters going back and forth, court hearings being scheduled months away without any consideration for your calendar, and money being wasted on issues that don’t even matter to you. Divorce litigation is often focused on conflict and adversaries instead of solutions and help.
The stories and problems with divorce litigation are real. I have litigated divorce matters in Palm Beach County for more than 18 years. I am also a Husband and a Father. This the main reason why our office focuses in helping families resolve their divorce without resorting to litigation in Palm Beach County.
You Do Not Want Lawyers Making the Divorce Worse
One of the biggest concerns you may have is that your divorce will become “lawyer driven.” That means the lawyers take over the process, create unnecessary conflict, and focus more on fighting than listening and helping to solve your problems.
If that happens, you may feel like you have no control of important decisions that will be made about your finances, your home, and your children. A public court battle is very likely not what you want, and is not in the best interest of your family
Our Process Is Different
You are more interested in being treated with respect, maintaining your privacy, and having the opportunity to make informed decisions.
Clear answers and professional guidance are resources that you need to move forward without creating unnecessary conflict.
At Mindful Divorce, P.A., we help established families resolve divorce privately and respectfully. We work with you to build a team that will include an attorney for you (our office), and a separate attorney for your spouse (a collaboratively trained attorney), and a neutral collaboratively trained accountant.
We then prepare and execute a Participation Agreement. This agreement provides that if either you or your spouse decides to terminate the collaborative process and resort to litigation, we as your collaborative team will be disqualified from this litigation.
This matters because it guarantees that everyone is working in one direction-help identify fair solutions under the law.
The objective is clear- to help you and your spouse reach a private and fair divorce settlement, without wasting time or money.
Everyone Is Hired to Help You Settle
In our office, we are not hired to waste your time and money in court. We are hired to help you understand your options, protect what matters, and work toward resolution.
Chad M. Layton, Esq., and our team bring more than 19 years of Palm Beach County divorce experience to help guide you through this process with clarity.
Nobody wants a messy divorce. With the right process, the right professionals, and the right plan, your divorce will be different. It will be handled with peace, respect and privacy.
